The strength of our family relations determines to a large extend, the way we see and experience life, and how we relate to those around us. The nature of our relations in turn, affects our mental health. The Marriage and family Institute exists to offer educational and therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families, including children, who are pained by the anomalies and disappointments in life towards self-mastery, healthy ad effective relations within couples and families.

Omphile is the founder and CEO of TMFISA, she is a registered Clinical Psychologist, an accredited NLP Coach and has been running a psychotherapy as well as a coaching practice since 2002, She has worked extensively with couples helping them deal with a variety of psychological conditions which include depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, intra-personal problems to gain personal mastery and relationship problems.
Her experience transcends beyond the therapy room; in addition to Clinical Psychology experience, Omphile has a vast range of experience in the corporate world, specifically in the HR space, acquired a range of internal and external consulting skills in the following: Recruitment, Assessment and Selections, both of managerial and non-managerial employees, Employee well-being services, Organisational Development, Change Management in restructuring projects, co-ordination and management of Learning and Development and Skills Audits, Performance Management, Career Development and Succession Planning and Employment Equity Facilitation and Diversity Management.
Her passion about personal mastery, marriages and family led her to establish the Institution, as well as the Marriage and Family Foundation, the giving arm of the Institute, which provides bona fide services to those who are less privileged to afford such.

Sonto Masilela is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She has experience working with diverse individuals from different backgrounds; with various mental health issues and disorders in counselling, correctional, rehabilitation, psychiatric and public hospital settings. She makes use of various therapeutic modalities; however, she predominantly operates from a person-centred and cognitive-behavioural perspective. Focusing on an individual through a BioPsychoSocial lens, Sonto appreciates an integrative approach to uniquely tailor an individual’s therapeutic process according to their specific needs.

Dr MaleboM is a registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of healthcare Funders (BHF) since 2009. As the founder of Action Change- (NPO) which focuses on substance use programs, she has contributed to the body of knowledge on Nyaope in South Africa. Based on the current study, a rehabilitation centre for Nyaope users is planned as a way of contributing to the eradication, treatment and prevention of the enormous escalating substance use amongst young people in South Africa.
She is also a Co-founder of Rixile health Group which seeks to mainly address employee wellness and mental health challenges and neuropsychological evaluation following traumatic road accidents. Rixile Health Group has developed employee health and wellness programmes and plans that not only serve the needs of employees but also provide employers with tangible benefits. Rixile Health Group has extensive experience in the provision of primary healthcare and disease management services, as well as an established infrastructure and geographic network of service providers in South Africa
Dr MaleboM’s experience includes vast exposure and experience in the management and treatment of mental health related disorders. She has an in-depth experience in offering psychotherapy which includes, young children, adolescents, couple’s therapy, marital therapy and psychiatric evaluation. Dr MaleboM has also been expanding in litigation and mediation matters following divorce and road accident and medical negligence matters.

Siphesihle (Sphe) is a registered Counselling Psychologist with experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, person-centred therapy, and interpersonal group therapy to treat psychological conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, Suicidality, Trauma/ PTSD, Grief/ Bereavement, Stress, Relationship difficulties, Psychosocial issues, and in helping people obtain self-mastery. Sphe’s work experience includes working for a government hospital, a child and family centre, a high school, a private rehabilitation centre and in tertiary institutions.
During therapy, Sphe collaborates with the client, take the integrative approach, and let the therapeutic relationship and the needs of the client guide the therapeutic process. He enjoys working with adolescents, young-adults, adults whether in individual, couple, family, or group setting. Sphe appreciates working holistically with people by considering their background, family setup, gender, age, social, economic, sexual orientation, and cultural diversity.
A brief description of Sphe’s personality would be, he is open-minded, passionate, confident, and goal-driven with strong problem-solving skills. Sphe is organized, evaluative and genuinely adaptive. I am a multilingual speaking Counselling psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. I am available to provide psychological services including child, individual, couple, group psychotherapy, career guidance and assessments, grief\bereavement, Advocacy, trauma debriefing and HIV\AIDS Supportive psychotherapy. I have experience working with children who have been exposed to trauma through the Teddy Bear Clinic, as well as individuals with a wide range of age groups experiencing life developmental challenges and adjustments. I have lecturing experience as well as counselling students in educational settings.
Therapy can be very daunting and is a process with ups and downs. It is not a linear process but is grounded in the professional therapeutic relationship. As such I use various approaches that are mainly client centered to help find solutions to everyday challenges.

Tsholofelo is a registered Counselling Psychologist with more than 8 years of experience providing adult and child psychotherapy and assessment. Her passion is in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her background has equipped her to work particularly well with them in dealing with their transitional stages and further assisting them with overcoming academic, social and mental health challenges to realize individual strength and success.
She is multi-lingual and has a clear awareness of diverse backgrounds, which makes her particularly alert and sensitive to widely varied needs and circumstances of her clients.
Tsholofelo works with a broad range of psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, adjustment and transitions, loss and bereavement, etc. She uses various approaches that are integrative as well as client and solution centered. She also makes use of mindfulness techniques.
Tsholofelo is currently only available for virtual sessions.
